Precautions for adjusting the baler before use.
1. The requirements for the tractor and the adjustment of the drawbar.
In order to ensure the safe and effective use of the baler, the supporting tractor power output shaft must have at least 75 horsepower (56 kilowatts). When using in hilly areas or towing a trailer behind a baler, ensure that the tractor is of sufficient size and weight to enable it to maintain control of the baler and loaded trailer under all possible conditions of use. Adjust the tractor drawbar so that the hitch pin hole is 356 mm from the tractor power output shaft end and at least 102 mm from the outer edge of the tractor wheel. The drawbar is centered and clamped under the PTO shaft and cannot swing in either direction. On some tractors, a hitch plate must be used to obtain the proper distance, and a PTO conversion must be fitted if necessary.
2. Mount
The hitch is adjustable, and to coordinate the work of the baler with the baling chamber, the drawbar is as close to a horizontal position as possible. If a different tractor is used, the hitch points may need to be relocated. It should be noted that the tractor PTO shaft must not be connected to the baler when in the transport position. Never connect the baler to a tractor with a PTO shaft rotating at 1000 rpm.
To connect the baler to the tractor proceed as follows:
(a) Attach the baler drawbar to the tractor with a 19mm diameter hitch pin. Install a locknut or cotter pin to prevent loss of the hitch pin.
(b) Turn the handle of the screw jack so that the jack is not loaded, lock the pin and turn the jack to the transport position. Check and make sure that the draw bar and the baler are in a horizontal position, otherwise the hooking position needs to be changed.
(c) Attach the PTO shaft to the tractor.
(d) Adjust the central PTO shaft support up or down to make the front end of the PTO shaft as horizontal as possible.
(e) The front PTO bracket must be folded down to the working position.
(f) Attach the drawbar valve cable to a convenient location on the tractor.
(g) The safety chain is fixed to the tractor drawbar, supported by U-shaped clips between each fixing point. The safety chain should work when towing the baler on the road. If the hitch pin breaks or falls off, the chain will maintain control of the baler.
(h) Connect all electrical cables and hydraulic lines, etc. to the tractor's optional accessories.
Straw baler troubleshooting:
1. Possible problems and solutions of the picker part.
(a) Picking up is not clean. One is that the gap between the spring teeth and the ground is too large, and the height of the spring teeth from the ground should be adjusted to about 25 mm; the second is that the spring teeth are bent or broken, and the spring teeth should be replaced; the third is that the working speed is too fast, and the working speed should be reduced; the fourth is If the straw is too wet, the water should be dried before operation; fifth, the bearing of the picker is damaged, and the damaged bearing should be replaced.
(b) Bearings, cam slideways and rollers are damaged or their service life is greatly reduced. The reason is that the spring teeth enter the cover plate, and the spring teeth should be removed from the cover plate in time. If the deformation is serious, the spring teeth need to be corrected.
(c) The belt slips or falls out. One is that the tension of the belt is insufficient, and the tension of the belt should be adjusted; the other is that there are too many sundries in the pulley, and the sundries in the pulley should be removed; Location.
2. Problems and solutions of irregular bale.
(a) The bale is irregular in shape. One is that the straw is uneven or the working speed of the feeding fork is not uniform. The operating speed and the power output speed should be adjusted to make the feeding amount uniform. If the bale pressure is insufficient, the speed of the output shaft of the tractor should be increased to at least 540 r/min
(b) The bales are irregular in shape. The reason is that the feeding amount is too large and the operating speed should be reduced.
(c) Inconsistent bale lengths. One is that the clutch claw of the bundling mechanism does not rotate well, and the pin shaft of the separation claw should be cleaned and lubricated; the other is that the surface of the knurled sleeve of the measuring wheel shaft is polished, the knurled sleeve should be replaced, and the engraved on the clutch control rod should be checked. Check whether the teeth on the knurled sleeve mesh with the teeth on the knurled sleeve normally; the third is that the spring of the clutch control lever is loose or damaged from the contact point, and the spring should be checked.
